Fish species found in Grand Lake include large mouth bass, spotted bass, black crappie, white crappie, white bass and channel catfish. Other species are hybrid striped bass, small mouth bass, flathead catfish, blue catfish, sunfish, and the largest population of paddlefish in the world. Grand Lake is rated the second best lake in Oklahoma for bass tournament success and number one in average bass weight and average winning weight, with over 400 fishing tournaments held here year-round.
