What is America 250?
America 250 is a yearlong initiative to lead the commemoration and celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary. The goal is to engage all 350 million Americans, foster national unity, and build a lasting legacy of pride, education, and civic renewal. This initiative invites citizens to have a renewed love of American history, experience the beauty of our country, and ignite a spirit of adventure and innovation that will raise our nation to new heights over the next 250 years.
Grand Lake Oklahoma, USA Campaign
In the spirit of the America 250 Celebration, this regional campaign will focus on bringing unity and synergy to the lake region through branding and additional event promotions inviting visitors and locals alike to join in celebrating the 250th Birthday of the United States of America.
- Purpose: To celebrate 250 years of American independence, honor the nation's founding, and look toward the future and to celebrate the volunteer service in our communities.
- Activities: The celebration includes educational, historical, and community-focused events, ranging from local volunteer opportunities to national celebrations. As the region is highly active in numerous volunteer actions, this celebration gives us the opportunity to join forces with Americans to celebrate our freedoms and engage future generations to join into the activities that make our communities special and add to the sense of place and quality of life here at Grand Lake Oklahoma, USA.
